Nanocrystalline Ni was produced by pulsed
electrodeposition (PED). Measuring the Larmor frequency wL,
the magnetic hyperfine field at the site of the 111Cd probe nuclei
is determined. In this way, the local magnetic properties of nano-Ni are
investigated.

The Larmor frequency wL0
known from polycrystalline Ni is measured in the centre of the crystallites,
the frequency wL1
is attributed to the magnetic boundary of the crystallites. The width of
the magnetic boundary is determined to about 3 nm.
